As you are aware,
with every reservation booked through GTM, our technology scrapes
the most popular travel websites searching for lower "web only"
fares. Recently we have had an increasing number of issues with
both Travelocity and Expedia. Both companies have a history of "flipping",
or changing your requested dates. There have also been reported
instances of mailing out a paper ticket when an e-ticket was requested
and vice versa. When GTM contacted Travelocity and/or Expedia to
correct the error, they were unbending and failed to remedy their
errors.
GTM will continue
to check these sites for lower fares, but can no longer stand behind
their product. If you request we book your reservation on either
of these two unmanaged sites, GTM will not be responsible for any
inaccuracies in the reservation. If a change is required at a later
time you will be required to change it directly with Travelocity
or Expedia.
We appreciate
your understanding in this matter. Please be assured, GTM will continue
to search and sell the more than 20 other Internet sites that work
with us and stand behind their product with respectable customer
service.
