Delta Airlines announced yesterday, that effective immediately, all commission paid to travel management companies has been eliminated. As in the past, we fully expect all airlines to follow this trend and match the commission cut within days of Delta's announcement. Given the economic pressure and declining profits the airlines have recently endured, GTM has anticipated the elimination of commissions and has been evaluating the potential effect. GTM historically has attempted to keep fees to a minimum and has increased them only when the airlines have cut commissions. We continue to offer alternative booking sources such as GTM's own online booking engine as a way for our clients to reduce their fees. Please be advised that GTM continues to analyze the effect of Delta's decision and the anticipation of the other airlines following suit.
